Joomla Migration Services

WebMigrationWeb MigrationIf your joomla website is still on version 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, or Joomla 2.5, then your website is already outdated. Any version before Joomla 2.5 is a serious security risk to your website, as well as your website host. Don't wait to migrate your website to the latest Joomla 3.2, it may already be hacked.

We have successfully migrated hundreds of Joomla sites from version 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7 to Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.x. If you are still on Joomla 2.5, you are relatively safe until the 3rd Quarter of 2014. It is still advised to get your Joomla installation to the latest version, which currently is Joomla 3.2.

Every version of Joomla has a shelf life of +/- 18 months, so it must be made clear that you need to upgrade your site to the latest version every 18 months, so you should always keep this in your budget.

Migration costs vary from site to site, depending on the template used, components, plugins and modules on the site, and which version you currently have. Below is an estimate of what the costs are for migration:

  1. Joomla 1.0 To Joomla 1.5 Content Migration - (Basic Website and Content Migration + Template - R 2 500.00)
  2. Joomla 1.0 to Joomla 1.5 Component Migration - (Most components no longer available and will need to be quoted on @ R 350.00 per hour)
  1. Joomla 1.5/6/7 To Joomla 2.5 Content Migration - (Basic Website and Content Migration + Template - R 2 500.00)
  2. Joomla 1.5/6/7 to Joomla 2.5 Component Migration - (All components must have a valid license, and cost of Migration starts at R 350.00 per hour, time frame depending on complexity)
  1. joomla site migrationjoomla site migrationJoomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x Content Migration - (Basic Website and Content Migration + Template - R 2 500.00)
  2. Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x Component Migration - (All components must have a valid license, and cost of Migration starts at R 350.00 per hour, time frame depending on complexity)

If you have a Joomla 1.0 website, you will need to upgrade to 1.5 first, and then upgrade to 2.5, and if you want the latest version of Joomla, you will then need to upgrade to 3.x. There is no way to upgrade from 1.0 to 3.x or 1.5/6/7 to 3.x.
